...it must have been the coffee.
I don't think anyone at dance could tell I was tired.
True, I didn't do much fancy stuff--just switching places with Josi several times in a circle dance, and competing with Caleb to see who could kick higher during the Riverdance (we were about even--and that's pretty impressive if I say so myself because Caleb's just a stick and I have my dense, African bones to deal with). Nevermind that I had the infamous scissors (literally) up my sleeve half the time--that is, until I told Josi where I finally hid them when her brother, Michael, was within hearing range. Then, I had to chase him down (after the current dance was over) and tackle him (it wasn't a real tackle though--he hit the floor; I didn't
).
To make things more exciting (see how I'm knawing at my fingernails?), Caleb told me that he's starting a dance troupe. [How cool!] And he wants me to be in it. [screeching halt--What?] Well, okay--Caleb doesn't take no for an answer. But really, it sounds fun--getting together with dance friends--it's the performing part that makes me nervous. Why does everyone keep talking about how good I am?! Just because I'm beginning to match/outshow the Dynamic Duo...oh. The reason I'm nervous is because I have to do a dance a few times before I can get comfortable with it--and I'm really bad at impromptu improvisation (unlike the Dynamic Duo
). Yeah, yeah; I'll just take the advice Caleb gave me at my first dance party (the Paul Wilbur concert): "Don't worry so much!"
Hey, it isn't my fault I tend to be high-strung. Just think of me as Sherlock Holmes--lethargic one moment, energetic (hyper or crazy some might say) the next. That bulldog quiz result really fits me.
Haha! Next up: game night! Where's the coffee? (Even without it, I can kiss sleep goodbye--I can't handle the excitement! Too much is happening! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!)
I'll just go work on my novel. Part Two should be finished within a week!
